2019 Changes and Ticket Renewal

May 31-June 2, 2019
Key Changes for the 2019 Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix Presented by Lear
Some exciting new enhancements await Grand Prix fans at the Raceway at Belle Isle Park when we celebrate the 30th Grand Prix in Detroit, May 31-June 2, 2019!

FREE PADDOCK ACCESS FOR ALL
For the first time in Detroit Grand Prix history, ALL ticketholders will have access to the Fifth Third Bank paddock – known as the “locker room of motorsports.” Included with all tickets, fans will be able to see their favorite teams and drivers up close in the garage area AND have access to the historic Scott Fountain to experience all the excitement at the Autotrader Winner’s Circle throughout the weekend.

NEW LOCATION FOR GRANDSTAND 1
Now positioned on the driver’s left side of the track across from pitlane, Cars.com Grandstand 1 will provide enhanced viewing options of the cars coming down the fast front stretch, all the action in the pits and into Turn 1!

DOUBLE THE GRANDSTAND SEATING IN TURN 3
Two grandstands will provide fans viewing options at one of the most exciting turns on the track. Grandstand 3 will now feature value-priced Reserved Seating on the driver’s left side of the track. The new General Admission Grandstand 4 will be located on the driver’s right side of the circuit in Turn 3.

NEW GENERAL ADMISSION GRANDSTAND 7
With the new Oudolf Garden coming to Belle Isle, there will no longer be a General Admission Grandstand located at Turn 5. A new General Admission Grandstand 7 will be located in the “horseshoe” at Turn 7, featuring awesome sightlines of the cars coming off the fastest part of the track on the back stretch.

MORE ACCESS FOR FANS
- Fans will enjoy more of the race venue as the Chevrolet Front stretch Bridge over the track will be open for everyone to visit the Fifth Third Bank Paddock and Scott Fountain, including easy access from Cars.com Grandstand 1 and the City of Windsor Grandstand 2. There will also be a new pedestrian bridge over the track at Turn 8 to provide access to the “horseshoe” for all ticketholders.

ON TRACK ACTION
The racing on Belle Isle will once again feature the cars of the IndyCar Series competing in the Chevy Dual in Detroit – the only doubleheader weekend on the series schedule. The exotic machines of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship also return for Saturday’s Chevrolet Sports Car Classic and the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli will be back in the Motor City with races on both Saturday and Sunday. The SST Series will not return to Detroit in 2019. Some exciting activities and events are being planned to celebrate the 30th Grand Prix in Detroit’s history and more information on this will be announced soon.
