IndyCar Champions Will Power and Rick Mears to Appear Friday at the North American International Auto Show
Power, a two-time winner of the Chevy Dual in Detroit Verizon IndyCar Series races held annually at Belle Isle Park, and Mears, the four-time Indianapolis 500 winner and three-time INDYCAR champion, will tour the popular NAIAS show floor at Cobo Center in Detroit and meet with fans as they begin to build excitement for the upcoming season and the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear, June 1-3.
After participating in a Detroit-area media tour on Friday morning, Power and Mears will arrive at Cobo Center to experience the sights and sounds of the 2018 NAIAS. The two champions will then visit with members of the local and national media in the INDYCAR Café on the main show floor where they'll see the new 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series universal aero kit car that was unveiled during Media Preview Days at the Auto Show last week.
