The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear returns to the Streets of Downtown Detroit in the summer of 2023. It marks the first time since 1991 that the Grand Prix will be held on the streets of the Motor City. With a 1.7-mile track that will incorporate and highlight some of Detroit's most popular and iconic roadways and landmarks, the new home for the Grand Prix is expected to bring excitement, energy, international exposure and an economic boost to Downtown Detroit. In addition, the Grand Prix will be more welcoming and accessible to fans than ever before with more than half of the venue open to fans for free.
When visitors travel to Detroit to witness the Grand Prix this summer they will see a metropolis fully committed to resurgence . The downtown is vibrant, the city is alive with excitement and Detroiters take great pride in their area and their fighting spirit. The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear continues to help Detroit's revitalization as the event contributed more than $13.5 million in improvements to its previous home on Belle Isle. The event has already resurfaced many of the roads in the Downtown area and officials are committed to giving back to the community that supports one of the city's most popular and longest-running events in the Grand Prix.
