ADA parking spots are available in all the nearby parking structures outside the venue and most surface lots.
Accessing & Navigating the Venue
The streets leading into the venue at Jefferson Avenue are easily accessible by wheelchair and scooters. Most of the venue, including Hart Plaza is accessible friendly. Please reference the Track Map to become familiar with the location of the tunnel between Millender Center and the GM Renaissance Center, as well as the track crossing locations to assist with navigating the venue.
Accessible seating (ADA) is available in all reserved seat grandstands other than 3C & 3D; prices vary. ADA reserved seating is located on an elevated flat platform at the front of the grandstand, accessible by a ramp on the side of the structure.
Accessible seating on the ADA platform is available to all guests who have difficulty climbing the grandstand stairs; a folding padded chair is provided for companion seating.
The free viewing platforms along Jefferson Avenue can accommodate wheelchairs; there are no seats provided on the viewing platforms.
For guests who want to cross over to the other side of the track, there is a tunnel over Jefferson Avenue between the Millender Center and GM Renaissance Center which is fully accessible and available throughout each event day. Elevators are available in each building to access the tunnel. The Detroit People Mover which is fully accessible has stops in each of these buildings close to the tunnel.
Additionally, street level track crossings are scheduled for short periods of time throughout each event day. Crossing locations are adjacent to the Woodbridge, Woodward and New Street Bridges as well as north of westbound Jefferson Avenue just east of the I-375 Service Drive and at the foot of Bates and Atwater. Reference Track Map for track level crossing locations.
We want your experience to be as stress-free as possible; a team of volunteers known as Accessibility Ambassadors will be available to assist guests throughout the venue. Accessibility Ambassadors are stationed at tents identified by the ADA symbol near each of the track crossing locations and at Hart Plaza. Any first-aid (medical) requests, shelter needs or additional assistance including navigating to grandstands or hospitality suites can be addressed.
